
Nasolabial (Greek Green Beans)
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 small onion grated
- 1 1/2 pounds pounds fresh green beans
- 4 tomatoes
- 2 yellow potatoes peeled and cut into wedges
- 1/2 tbsp salt or to taste
- ground black pepper to taste
- 1 pinch white sugar (optional)
- water to cover
Notes
Heat olive oil in a massive pot over medium heat and mix in onion. Cook until onion has mellowed, around 5 minutes. Add green beans and blend to coat in the oil. Cook, combining at times, 2 to 3 minutes. Include pureed tomato, potatoes, salt, pepper, and sugar. Blend well; at that point include water until beans are scarcely secured.
Bring to a stew, incompletely spread with a top, and cook delicately over medium-low heat until green beans and potatoes are delicate, 25 to 30 minutes. Reveal towards the part of the bargain lessen sauce if it is excessively watery.
