
Slow Cooker Chicken Marrakesh
Ingredients
- 1 onion sliced
- 2 cloves garlic minced (optional)
- 2 large carrots peeled and dicedTwo larges sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 (15 ounces) garbanzo beans
- 2 pounds chicken breast halves skinless, boneless
- 1/2 tbsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tbsp ground turmeric
- 1/4 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tbsp ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp parsley dried
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 (14.5 ounces) tomatoes can diced
Notes
Place the sweet potatoes, garbanzo beans, onion, garlic, carrots, and chicken breast pieces into a slow cooker. In a bowl, combine the cumin, parsley, turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper, and salt, and sprinkle over the chicken and vegetables. Stream in the tomatoes, and stir to combine.
Cover the cooker, set it to High, and cook it until the sweet potatoes are tender and the sauce has frozen 4 to 5 hours.
