
Tomato-Mozzarella Gratin
Ingredients
- 5 large tomatoes sliced
- 1 (8 ounces) mozzarella cheese ball fresh
- 1/2 tbsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 pinch herb salt
- freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp bread crumbs dry
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter at room temperature, cut into cubes
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or to taste
Notes
Preheat the oven carefully to 475 degrees F (245 degrees C). Oil a baking dish.
Orchestrate tomato cuts and mozzarella cuts in the readied baking dish like tiles — season with oregano, garlic powder, herb salt, and pepper.
Blend bread scraps and Parmesan cheese and sprinkle over gratin. Dab liberally with spread solid shapes.
Heat in the preheated oven until cheese is softened and bubbly, around 10 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley.
