Ingredients
  

  • 4 tbsp olive oil divided
  • 1 1/4 cups raw walnut halves
  • 1.3 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup fire-roasted red bell peppers peeled, seeded,coarsely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp pomegranate molasses
  • 1 tbsp salt plus more if needed
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp Aleppo pepper flakes or other red pepperflakes plus a pinch or so for garnish
  • 1/2 tbsp cumin
  • 1/2 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp Italian parsley for garnish chopped

Notes

Muhammara (Roasted Pepper & Walnut Spread): Heat a skillet over medium heat. Include pecans and shower with one tablespoon olive oil. Cook and mix until pecans smell toasted and have gently caramelized for around 5 minutes. Expel from warmth and move pecans to a plate to cool. Save 2 or 3 to slash and use for topping coarsely. Spot the skillet over medium heat; include one tablespoon olive oil. Sprinkle in the breadcrumbs; cook and mix as often as possible until scraps turn brilliant dark colored, 3 or 4 minutes. Expel from heat and sprinkle onto a plate with pecans. Watch Now
